Annual State of the Black Union and Only Hillary Attends?

Yesterday, the State of the Black Union was held in New Orleans, highlighting the political challenges and issues still impacting Americans based on their race and economic status. Hillary Clinton was the only presidential candidate who arrived to discuss the issues; the other candidates, including Barack Obama, did not appear. Tavis Smiley and Tom Joyner, radio hosts with Black America Web, have authored the Covenant with Black America book and website. The State of the Black Union has been held for nine years and generated the ten covenants important to the Black Community with the assistance of scholars, entertainers, politicians, and community leaders.
