I thought I’d flag a recent article in an Indian online journal about a mediawomen’s network in India that’s still a work in progress but seems to be slowly but surely managing to fulfil the purpose for which it was set up a few years ago:

“Women join hands for a better media”

“In an increasingly market-driven media climate, a network that nurtures value-driven journalism among women has proved to be a lifeline for professionals who believe that there’s more to the media than news brands. Charumathi Supraja reports.”

In case you miss it alongside the piece, here’s the link to the network’s website. The site is currently struggling for survival against several odds, including total reliance on volunteer work in the absence of any funds — fingers crossed that ongoing efforts to raise funds and streamline operations will improve matters sooner rather than later.

Full disclosure: I’m a founder-member of the network and am quoted in the article!
