Grassroots Organizing Leaders and representatives from the President Elect Barack Obama transition team have come together to discuss the people’s agenda for change. What does change mean from the community organizers, leaders and millions of voters that voted for change. Leaders from Center for Community Change and the Gamaliel Foundation has pulled together members from over 200 organizations to come together to discuss the national crisis that has changed the lives of millions.

Today some of the leaders will be Deepak Bhargava, Center for Community Change, Ana Garcia-Ashley, Gamaliel Foundation, Janet Murguia, National Council for La Raza (NCLR), Arlene Holt Baker, AFL-CIO and many others.

President Elect’s transition team members will be Melody Barnes, Domestic Policy Council, Valerie Jarrett, White House Senior Advisor and Congress Members Chris Van Holllen (D-MD) and Donna Edwards (D-MD).

The issues that will be discussed today: economic crisis, immigration reform, homelessness and health care.
