Stephanie Mackley's Biography

Stephanie Mackley has been producing, directing and editing digital videos since 2001.

Her first short documentary, Portrait of a Protest (2002), was screened at the 2003 Durango Film Festival and the 2004 Laemmle Theaters Film Festival in Los Angeles.

Her film project A Hydro-geologist Looks at the Environmental Effects of Israeli Occupation in Palestine (2003) connected her with Tikkun Magazine and Community, where she worked as a Development and Membership coordinator and consultant.

She is now combining her video production skills with 5 years of experience in non-profit development, with Video For A Change.

Mackley graduated from the University of Puget Sound in 2002 with a degree in Comparative Sociology. She currently lives in Berkeley, California where she often rides her bike while wearing an incredibly outdated helmet.
