Rosemary Okello is a communication, media and gender specialist. She is also the Executive Director of the African Woman and Child Features a development regional media organization based in Nairobi with vision of a media that enhances acceptance of diversity and gender equality for equitable development and a mission to promote diversity, gender equity, social justice and development in Africa through media, training and research. She is also the Secretary of the Kenya Editor’s Guild and Treasurer of the Africa Editor’s Forum

Rosemary Okello-Orlale's Biography

Rosemary Okello-Orlale, based in Kenya, Executive Director African Woman and Child Feature Service (AWC), a media NGO focusing on development communication in Africa. She is the Secretary to the Kenya Editor's Guild as well as the Secretary General of the African Editor's Forum. She holds an MA in New Media Governance and Democracy, Advanced Management Programme, a post-graduate diploma in research methodology, Population Studies and Research Institute- Nairobi University, and also a post-graduate diploma in Journalism from London School of Journalism. She is also an award winner for the first prize as the best female reporter on ICT (information communication technology) in the category of the 2004 African Information Society Initiative media awards.
